This is the first show back in studio after the long summer break. Talked with our friends Yuri and Jedidiah Rambo and took some theological questions.
I just wanted to drop a few lines to let everyone know what I have been up to and why I haven’t been broadcasting The Narrow Mind Radio Show.
As most of you know I took fulltime employment back in 2007 to supplement my income while Jonathan and I planted GreatOakChurch in Temecula. In April of this year I quit my job and started a company with another brother from our church. The business has really taken off. We are currently employing 19 people! That being said I have been working about 12-15 hours a day, pastoring, teaching counseling, fathering etc. (did I mention Torque?) So it was necessary for me to put the radio show on hold for the time being.
The good thing is that the business we have started has the potential to help me resume work in Tanzania as well as being a blessing to GreatOakChurch.
I hope to do the radio show in October. If you have sent me email and didn’t hear back from me it is because I haven’t even been checking my personal email. Forgive me.
Gene and Jonathan speak with atheist, Jnani. Jnani sent Gene an email critiquing his video series on Youtube entitled "Atheism Defeated". TNM #960 05.24.2009
Gene and Jonathan interview Scott Nemeth who advocates pre-marital sex for adults. Are Scott's arguments sound? You decide. This is show #959 recorded on 05.16.2009
Gene an Jonathan open up the phones and talk about some atheist comments on Gene's video series, an email question about Theonomy, the Cosmological argument, Israel and Postmillennialism.
Is Jesus Lord of the Unbeliever? If He is, does He exercise His Lordship in the same way? On this special edition of TNM Gene responds to a question from a listener.
This is the first broadcast in the new studio. The Narrow mind turns 6 years old this month and Gene kicks it off with a brand new intro. Topics included the Zeitgeist movie, Satan being bound, Two Kingdoms and regeneration in the Old Covenant. (plus more)
I wanted to let everyone know, in case you haven’t heard already, that our server is going to be down for a few days. The studio has been relocated and we are in the process of getting the internet connection setup, the studio built out and everything ready to broadcast. We are hoping that we will be ready to broadcast on March 14th.
There is still a lot of work to be done. Thanks for your patience and support.
On this edition of the Narrow Mind Gene and Jonathan were expecting to have a discussion with “unbeliever” Darrin. The problem is that Darrin never called in so they opened the phones and took a couple of calls. This is show #952
Gene and Jonathan open up the phones and take calls. The calls range from questions about marriage, TAG, regeneration and resurrection to the great tribulation period and how Gene is afraid of the atheist.
On this edition of The Narrow Mind Gene and Jonathan are joined by Scott Hedgecock (their friend from Seattle)They take calls and talk about a NY Times article about Mark Driscoll. 01.17.2009
While Pastor Gene was on his way to his Wednesday night home bible study he received a call that there were two Mormon girls who would be sitting in. They made it clear that they did not want to argue. What would Pastor Gene do? Teach the Bible! (count how many refutations of Mormon doctrine that Gene was able to bring out of the text) Listen Here
Gene an Jonathan open the phones lines and talk to Mark, the atheist from Ohio and Mike about expositional preaching vs. topical. Gene also played a couple of interesting sound clips.
